About our School
Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar is an English medium Institute, established in the year 1994 by Golaghat Samithi of Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, N. E. Region. It is a tiny, humble, insignificant flower offered at the Lotus Feet of our Beloved Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Like all other Institution of the Organisation it is a non profit service oriented institution based on the lofty ideals of Bhagawan Baba. Apart from the usual curriculum, the school is committed to proper channeling of the intelligence and energy of the children through education in human values as followed at the Sri Sathya Sai School is all over the world.
Initially, the school was started with 16 nos of students, 2 nos of teachers and an Aya at Bal-Vikas centre of Golaghat Samithi and subsequently in a residential house offered by a devotee. With the addition of one class each year the number of students increased to 72 nos in the year 1999 and school management commmittee was looking for a permanent building and land. By the grace of Bhagawan Baba one ardent devotes took the responsibility of construction of school building and offered land. Accordingly, he prepared a plan & estimate of the proposed school building which was very kindly blessed by Bhagawan Baba. Construction of the 3 storied building which was very kindly blessed by Bhagawan Baba. Construction of the 3 storied building started in 2000 AD and completed in 2010 AD. Having more than 1677 sq. Metre of total floor area in 3 stories. In the year 1999 the school was recognized as Trust School and the school was renamed as Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar instead of Vidya Vihar.
